Pasta Tips
For nonstick pasta, heat the collander before draining and instead of adding butter or oil after draining, add a little of the sauce it is to be served with. (Oiling it at this point can prevent the sauce from coating well later on.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cook large pasta shells for stuffing by boiling them in a large pot of water for 30 seconds. Cover the pot, remove from the heat, and let stand for 10 minutes before draining. This helps keep the pasta from sticking together and tearing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To save time when making lasagna, do not cook the noodles ahead of time. Instead, add extra sauce for moisture and let the noodles cook as the lasagna bakes.
