Northern Southern Suffing(A classic southern stuffing with a Michigan twist)

Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Number of Servings: 12

2 bags of plain stuffing mix
3 stalks of celery diced
1 medium vidalia onion diced
1 cup of diced granny smith appled
1 cup dried cherries
1 cup of pecans
1 tsp pepper
1 tbl poultry seasoning
1 tsp salt
4 cups turkey or chicken broth
2 sticks of butter

Directions:  Saute celery and onions in 1 stick of butter until tender. Combine remaining ingredients in bowl. Add cooked onions and celery. mix. Place in casserole dish and pour broth over remaining ingredients. Top with slices of butter. Bake 45 minutes covered.
