angle food cake(sweet and good)

Ingredients:

1 1/2cup of egg whites
|
1 1/2cups of sifted powded suger
|
1cupsifted cakeflour or sifted allpurposeflour
|
1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
|
1 teaspoon vanilla
|
1 cup granlated sugar
|

Directions: in a very large mixing bowl allow egg whites to stand at room tempetature for thirty minutes. Meanwhile, sift powerded sugar and flour together three times: set aside.
#2 Add cream of tartar and vanilla to egg whites.
Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form(tips curl).
Gradually add granulated sugar, about two tablespoons at a time. Beating until stiff peaks form(peaks stand straight).
#3 Sift 1/4 sugar mixture over beaten egg whites. Fold in gently. Repeat, folding in remaing mixture by fourths.
#5 Pour in ungreased 10" tube pan.Remove air pockets.
Bake@350 degree oven 40-45 min, until top springs back when lightly touched.
