Layered Spinach and Lettuce Salad(Salad made with spinach, lettuce, eggs, tomatoes, parm. cheese, bacon, with sweet sour cream/mayonnaise dressing.)

Ingredients:

1 head iceburg lettuce
|
1/2 bag pre-packaged spinach
|
2 celery stalks, diced
|
1 can sliced waterchestnuts, drained
|
2 sliced or cubed tomatoes
|
4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
|
8 slices of bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
|
1 cup sour cream
|
1/2 cup sugar
|
1/2 cup mayonnaise
|
1 T. vinegar
|
salt
|
pepper
|
grated parmesan cheese, to taste (about 1/3 cup)
|
sliced red onion, to taste (about half a small onion)
|

Directions: Tear apart lettuce head and place in a large bowl with the spinach. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Layer cooked bacon, celery, chestnuts, onion, eggs and tomatoes on top of the lettuce and spinach.
Dressing:
Mix sour cream with sugar and pour over the top of the salad. Mix mayonnaise and vinegar and pour over top of the sour cream mixture. Finally, top the salad with parmesan cheese.
Refrigerate overnight, if possible, or make early in the morning for evening meal. Toss and mix thoroughly right before serving.
