MARY'S OATMEAL BOOKES

Ingredients:

1 cup shortening (crisco or lard)

1 cup white sugar

1 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp soda

1 1/2 cup flour

3 cups oatmeal or

2 cups oatmeal and

1 cup coconut

Directions: Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs - mix well. add remaining ingredients. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet until lightly browned at 350 degrees
